ImageEurovision Song Contest 2015 - The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION Cure:  What an amazing 60th Eurovision Song Contest ORF and EBU staged in the Wiener Stadthalle in three amazing shows with two Semi Finals and the Grand Final on Saturday 23 May 2015. 40 countries competed with 20 countries making it into the Grand Final meeting the the Host Country Austria as well as the Big 5 (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom) plus special guest Australia. The 60th contest was won by Måns Zelmerloew from Sweden with the song "Heroes"  Many fans and journalists left Vienna with tears in their eyes saying farewell to two weeks of a real good time departing from the Eurovision Family for yet another year. The POST EUROVISION DEPRESSION (PED) has conquered Europe and beyond and Eurovision Radio International is the best cure for it week by week as we reflect on the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with broadcasting the many interviews done in Vienna. ImageInterview with Dave Benton Eurovision Winner 2001 (Estonia 2001): Back in 2001 when the Eurovision Song Contest came from the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, Denmark showing the biggest live audience ever with a total of approx 40000 spectators wittnessing when Tanel Padar and Dave Benton won the 46th Eurovision Song Contest for Estonia with the song "Everybody". With the festivities of the 60 years of the Eurovision Song Contest there was a special conference held in London where Dave Benton was special guest and part of a panel. Radio International's David Mann was at this conference and chatted with Dave Benton. Listen to this interview on this week's edition of Radio International. 
Image Interview with Nina Sublatti (Georgia 2015): Representing Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 was Nina Sublatti  who competed for the ticket to the Grand Final in Semi Final 1 where she ranked at Number 4 with a total of 98 points and with this received Georgia's place in the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. There Georgia received 51 points for the song "Warrior" ranking Georgia at Number 11 in the Grand Final at the end of the voting. ImageInterview with Boggie (Hungary 2015): Hungary had a massive national final out of which Boggie emerged and won the ticket to represent Hungary at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. At first Hungary successfully qualified for the Grand Final from Semi Final 1 where Boggie received 67 points ranking at Number 8 and with this secured the ticket for the Grand Final to the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 where the song "Wars for nothing" ranked at Number 20 with a total of 19 points.  JP met the singer for an interview after her rehearsal and Press Conference in Vienna. ImageInterview with Roman Horacek (Press Officer of Austrian Television ORF responsible for the Eurovision Song Contest 2015): Every year, over 2000 journalists, reporters, bloggers, etc come to the Eurovision Song Contest to cover the event for their media and the host broadcaster is repsonsible to provide a work place for the national and international media. Roman Horacek was tasked with the setup of the Vienna Press Centre at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. ImageEurovision Song Contest Spotlight: Debut countries at Eurovision:  The summer has arrived and that also means the start of a new series on Radio International linked to a Eurovision theme. The Radio International Eurovision Experts put their brains together and came up with the great idea to reflext on the countries that debuted during the 60 years of the history of the Eurovision Song Contest. The series starts this week with Ross Bennett who will continue with the debut entries of Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark and Estonia.
Image Eurovision UnderCover:  This ever so popular feature on Radio International is David Mann's weekly edition of the Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision Norwich will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link

ImageEurovision Song Contest News: Nathan Waddell joins the team in the studio every week to bring you the news and the latest developments connected to the Eurovision Song Contest such as the National Finals or if it is music releases of Eurovision performers, special concerts, gossip, etc Nathan will have it all for us during the weekly edition of Radio International. ImageNew Song Releases by Eurovision Artists Radio International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the muisc closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs which are being featured on the show.

Good luck and win a copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the Eurovision Goodies Bag. All you have to do is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send your answers via the website's CONTACTs form. As for the quiz answers, you have two weeks time to crack the quiz after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate in the quiz and the draw for the prize. Good Luck!
