The first two hours of this week's show are devoted to the music, the life and career of Mr. Eurovision - Ralph Siegel and also an interview with San Marino's hopeful for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and now also 2014 Valentina Monetta while the third hour this week features the first part of three of the new series "Eurovision meets South Africa".
Next week on the show Eurovision Radio International's JP had the pleasure to meet and interview Jonas Gladnikoff who wrote many great Eurovision songs including Niamh Kavanagh's "It's for you" for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010, Hera Bjoerk's "Someday" and many more entries to various national finals with pretty good results. That will be in the first hour next week whereas the second and third hour will feature part 2 and part 3 of "Eurovision meets South Africa" as the series continues.
Image Interview and more with Ralph Siegel, Mauro Balestri and Valentina Monetta (San Marino 2012, 2013 & 2014):  The Team of Radio International were on location in Malmoe at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 which was staged in Sweden. During the two Eurovision weeks 38 out of 39 countries were interviewed but in addition the team had the pleasure to meet and interview Ralph Siegel who is the genius behind many Eurovision entries for many countries. All in All over 2000 songs are registered with the German loyalties company GEMA. Details of Ralph Siegel's songs (not only Eurovision) can be found here (in English) and here (in German - more listed). Mauro Balestri is the composer of the San Marinese entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 and was also part of the interview which together with the music of Ralph Siegel you can hear within the first two hours of this week's edition of Radio International.
ImageInterview with Valentina Monetta (San Marino 2012, 2013 & 2014):  Also the team of Radio International had the huge pleasure to chat with Valentina Monetta who is a huge talent and her entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 "Crisalide" reached Number 11 in the Semi Final, thus being the best result achieved by any San Marino Eurovision entry. Ralph Siegel, Mauro Balestri and Valentina Monetta want to try again and this time with that one more step to enter into the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest when Team Valentina Monetta compete again in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Denmark.
