Welcome to Eurovision Radio International
Eurovision Radio International is a fast moving, entertaining three hour radio programme offering up-to-date information and entertainment about the Eurovision Song Contest all year round. The show contains interviews with past and present Eurovision performers, News about the Eurovision Song Contest, the Eurovision Quiz, Expert opinions and of course the Listeners' Choices as well. 
 
ImageThis weekly radio show is geared for Expatriates, English speaking internationals and especially to the fans of the Eurovision Song Contest, broadcast from the studios of RTV Katwijk in the Netherlands on 106.8FM & Digital Cable Channel Number 781 and via the Internet. (Click to listen). You can also find Radio International (RTV Katwijk) on TuneIn. Simply click on the icon and you should be able to hear the station's stream.   
 
ImageIn addition to the means of FM radio and webradio, Radio International will also be simulcast on the show's own web TV channel (where you can see how we actually do Radio International). You can reach the channel by clicking here while listening to the weekly edition of Radio International or some previous interviews Radio International has done with Eurovision performers. Radio International would like to encourage you to actively take part in the chat during the show and send in your requests and greetings.

Image(17 December 2014) The Team of Radio International invites you to the weekly Ultimative Eurovision Experience. Apart from the means of FM Radio in the Netherlands on FM 106.8 and the audio stream from the studio via www.radiointernational.tv and on Digital Cable 781 & cable 88.1Mhz in the Netherlands, the show will also be web-televised via the Radio International TV Channel from the studio and linking up the many international Eurovision fans and friends and play your requests and read your messages out on air. Tell your friends to join in - SPREAD THE NEWS. Normally, the simulcast is from 2000 – 2300 hours CET when Eurovision fans can join in and chat amongst each other via the Chat Room and request their favourite Eurovision entry.

ImageInterview with the Winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Conchita Wurst (Austria 2014):  Going out with a BANG! of 2014's regular editions of Radio International something special this week. At the recent Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015 the current reigning champion of the Eurovision Song Contest  2014 - Conchita Wurst was special guest at the event of course singing "Rise like a Phoenix" which received a total of 290 points during the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 which was enough for the victory. But also performed her new song "Heroes". In 2012, Conchita already tried her luck in the national Final of Austria to get the ticket to represent Austria in Baku. But she came only second and the ticket went to the Trackshittaz instead. Courtesy of Garret Mulhall from Eurovision Ireland Radio International is able to air the interview that Garrett did with the bearded lady in the Press Centre of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015.  Hear it all on this week's edition of Radio International.
 
ImageMESC 2015 - Interview with Glen Vella and Kevin Borg (Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015): The Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015 took place on 21 & 22 November 2014 from the Marsa Ship Yard in Malta with 20 songs entering into the Semi Final then narrowed down to a Top 14 and then on Saturday the winner was the public favourite as well as the jury favourite - Amber Bondin will be representing Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Warrior" written by Elton Zarb and Matt Muxu, who also were responsible for the victory of Gaia Cauchi at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with the song "The Start". Continuing on this week's edition of Radio International listen to the interviews with the contestants and this week it is the turn of a fantastic singer from Malta and a great personality, someone tht has been before representing Malta at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2011 with the song "One Life" which reached Number 11 in his Semi Final with just one point missing to get into that Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest - Glen Vella.  Glen decided to return to the competition in Malta and teamed up with singer and songwriter Kevin Borg who wrote the song "Breakaway" for the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015 to be performed by Glen Vella. An amazing performance with Malta's Southville Dancers and Hula Hoop Acrobat Francis Perreault flown in from Canada to spice up the visual aspects of Glen's entry that successfully qualified for the Final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2015 and then came third in the Final after Christabelle's "Rush" and Amber's "Warrior"  Listen to this funny interview on this week's edition of Radio International. 
 
ImageJunior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Interview with Fedrica Falzon (Malta): The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 took place in Malta on 15 November 2014 with debutant Italy winning the event. The song "Tu primo grande amore" was performed so passionately by Vinzenco on stage and won the event with 159 points on the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 stage in the Marsa Ship Yard. Following in the footsteps of Gaia Gauchi who won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2013 for Malta in Kiev with the song "The Start" - is Federica Falzon. Having the same vocal teacher as Gaia - Gillian Attard, Federica achieved a remarkable 4th place in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 representing Malta with the song "Diamonds" and blew everybody away during her live performance. Radio International chatted with the young Mezzo Soprano singer at the Welcome Reception of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014.  Listen to the interview with Federica on this week's edition of Radio International. 
 
ImageJunior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Interview with Julia (The Netherlands ): At the recent edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Malta's Marsa Ship Yard The Netherlands were represented by Julia with the song "Around" which started as last in the contest and then at then end of the competition it came 8th. Radio International had the pleasure to chat with Julia during the rehearsal week when she came to the Press Centre for her Press Conference. ImageJunior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 - Interview with Josie (Croatia): Coming back to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year was Croatia who sent in a very talented young singer with American decent. Josie performed the song "Game over" which unfortunately ended up at the anchor position of Number 16 in the competition. But a very interesting person to speak to with great views. Listen to the interview with Josie on this week's edition of Radio International and get to know more about the singer. 
 
ImageEurovision Song Contest Spotlight - Austria in Eurovision:  Continuing this week when Radio International takes you right to the National Selections to the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. Austria initially won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1966 for the very first time with Udo Juergens singing "Merci Cherie" and then the second victory came in 2014 with Conchita Wurst and "Rise like a Phoenix" and with this will be hosting the 2015 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. As in previous years the Eurovision Spotlight has reflected on the songs of the next host country and this year is no exception. The Radio International Eurovision Experts will be taking a look at Austria's history at the Eurovision Song Contest. The series continues this week with Chris Poppe in the last of the regular editions of Radio International. This feature continues on 14 January 2015. Image Eurovision UnderCover:  Radio International each week inserts into the show Eurovision Cover Versions where David Mann from Eurovision-Norwich will be intoducing some of the finest Eurovision Song Contest entries covered by other singers. Just be surprised. You will be hearing the actual song that has been on the Eurovision stage followed by the cover. Enjoy the brand new series.  Listeners are encouraged to send in their cover versions they came across over the years to share with the other fans tuning into the show. Alternatively, listeners can send in their request for a particular Eurovision covered song using this link.

Good luck and win a copy of a past Eurovision Song Contest Final on DVD or a dip into the Eurovision Goodies Bag which has been restocked with 2012 items. All you have to do is to identify the five clips with Artist, Song, Country and Year. Send your answers via the website's CONTACTs form. As for the quiz answers, you have time until 2359 hours the Tuesday after Radio International was aired live. That gives the chance for the listeners who were not able to join us live on Wednesdays to participate in the quiz and the draw for the prize. ImageNew Song Releases by Eurovision Artists:  Radio International is always keen to know how the careers of Eurovision performers develop after their performance at the event. The show is in collaboration with many Music Companies that supply Radio International with the latest songs of their signed up artists to bring the music closer to the fans. On a weekly basis Radio International receives songs which are being featured on the show. Over the past couple of weeks Radio International has received so many new released of Eurovision performers which will will air during the upcoming editions of Radio International. 
 
 
There will be the usual bits and pieces such the Eurovision Quiz, your Eurovision Music Requests and messages, Eurovision Calendar Items and the Eurovision News as they happen. Your views and requests are welcome and quiz answers can be sent via the website's CONTACT link.
